Happy Thanksgiving and free ebook

img_1032

I hope you are having a wonderful Thanksgiving! Just to let you all know, my ebook will be free for the next few days!

Free ebook limited time only

Stand on the mountain

Can I be me

Am I that free

Answer to no one

Live in the moment

Smile while you’re laughing

Stand running forward

Chair near the wall

Rug in a corner

Walk through a puddle

Not get in trouble

Joy now reflected

Cook undetected

Talk at the table

Mentally able

Say words that matter

No mindless clatter

Frozen unlabeled

Dust covered shelf

Volumes of life

Marked with a pen

Climb to the top

Stand on the mountain

My window pane

Summers turn to brown and gold
Blanket leaves and school bells toll
Walk in snow up to my knees
Warming fire and Christmas trees
Mom buys candy, Dad hangs lights
Spring comes after starry nights
Young girl ways fade into teens
Don’t forget what true life means
Nuptials babies years pass by
Wrinkles long walks how time flies
The view outside my window pane
Seasons magic will never change

Top of the hill

IMG_0045 (2).jpg

This is the view at the top of the hill
as I turn the corner each day to walk

Top of the hill

Just as I lose focus

And round the stand still bend

No reason for elation

Assigned and taken in

Majestic views of nature

Colors from the past

Remind me to be grateful

For I am free at last

Published!

Osama was scheduled to attend training in Vegas! It was a chance for Jacki to accompany him and get some much needed time away! When we went for the first birthday party last Saturday, we brought three special little ones back with us for the week. Yesterday, bags, bottles and toys were all stacked by the door and Mommy and Daddy arrived to take their babies home in the morning.

After goodbye waves, hugs and kisses, it was time to get back to real life and final touches on the book. I made a promise to myself a few months back that I would publish my poetry book and then get back to work on the big book about our life in Saudi and the struggle to be free! It has been a fun and challenging process to work on the book. This morning I received an email telling me that my book was now available!

Any shares, likes, reviews and support are greatly appreciated!  Thanks for being on this journey with me! It’s time to get back to work on the other book.

Now that the babies are back home I will be visiting my friends here on wordpress and catching up with everyone.

Love,

Lynn

Road trip

Almost Spring

This is our gorgeous Palouse and no matter what the weather brings it is rugged, beautiful and inspiring! Yesterday the day started off at 2 degrees and today 10! Amid the frigid temperatures bulbs dare to pop up in the front beds and grass can be seen on the fields when snow has not fallen. Amazing!

Monday

The Palouse area offers magnificent scenery that seems to begin and end with the rolling Palouse as far as the eye can see. It was never far from my heart when we lived in Riyadh. What a blessing to live in this gorgeous area.
