This is a quick, fun recipe for a different kind of Taco. I am not sure where I first tried something like this, or even what it is called! We don’t eat fast food much, but over the years I ate this yummy mixture of crunch and flour tortilla some where and I know it is a choice on some fast food menus. Foof loves tacos so in an effort to make something other than our usual Taco, I tossed this all together and now the kids love it! I make it when I need fast and fun!
Ingredients
2 pounds ground beef
1 small can tomato paste
1 cup water
1 package taco seasoning mix or whatever you like to season you meat
1 box of crunchy corn shells- do any cooking preparation according to package instructions
1 package of flour tortillas
grated cheddar cheese
1 tomato chopped
lettuce chopped
sour cream
Directions
Fry ground beef until totally cooked, add tomato paste, water and seasoning, mix well. Cover and bring to a light boil, turn down heat and simmer to get flavors mixed in well.
Take the flour tortilla and place it on a plate, put a spoon of sour cream on and spread it in the middle
place hard shell tortilla in the middle on sour cream.
Fill hard shell with cooked meat mixture
Put cheese in the middle on top of meat
Put lettuce and tomatoes
fold tortilla over hard shell and wrap it up
Looks like a fun dinner Lynn 😉 My husband would like this!

This looks so good. I have everything except the taco shells, and they will be easy to make, so that will be lunch tomorrow. Thanks for sharing this recipe, Lynz.

Everything looking great except the yarn part. Really have to get out and buy more storage space for that. I’m thinking more storage ottomans. Look neat and hold a lot of stuff out of sight.

interesting how you wrap the crunchy shell taco in a soft shell. I never thought of doing that.

I was gifted some little eggplants and need to go back in your recipes to get the one with the parmesan cheese. : )

Love the plate! I’ve done this too. The flour tortilla makes the hard shell taco easier to eat. You can even crumble the hard shell over the meat/cheese mixture for a similar effect.
