A friend of mine in Seattle brought this to my house for a potluck and I loved it! I have been making it for many years and it is certainly another favorite! Of course, as always I have added and taken away different components of this salad so that the kids would like it. I hope you enjoy it as much as we have!
Ingredients
1 head of Green Cabbage chopped small
1 green onion, washed and chopped
1 package of Ramen Noodles
1 Tbs. sesame seeds toasted
1/4 cup slivered almonds
Dressing
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup sugar
Mix well
This is how we like the dressing but you can obviously vary it according to taste!
Directions
Wash cabbage and chop
Break noodles into pieces and place in frying pan with a few tablespoons of olive oil,
fry until golden brown.
Toast sesame seeds.
Mix sesame seeds, almonds, noodles and onion in with cabbage. Toss with dressing
Refrigerate, let set for an hour or more so the dressing gets mixed in well!
You can add cooked, cubed chicken if you like!
double yummy….

That’s true! Would you recommend putting lime in it? Or do you think that’s a bit much?

I don’t think I would but I love the soy and sugar mix flavor!

A good use of cabbage and a nice, alternative type of salad. I especially like the mix of almonds, noodles and onions in it. It sounds very crunchy and delicious.
