One day when I was running and had no time to cook, I decided to toss a few things together and this was the result. The kids love it and it is super easy.
Ingredients
1 package of pasta
1 jar of pizza sauce
1 Green Bell pepper chopped
1 onion chopped
3 tomatoes chopped
sliced black olives
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1.2 cup mozzarella cheese
1/2 tsp. basil
salt to taste
Directions
Chop vegetables. Saute onions in olive oil, add bell pepper and tomatoes. Add basil and salt, cook until soft
Slice olives
Boil pasta according to package directions, do not over cook!
When pasta is done, drain. Put noodles back into pan and add pizza sauce and other ingredients. Pour into a baking pan and cover well, Put into oven and bake 30 minutes.
It looks really tasty! I love pasta with olives.

Those spontaneous creations are mostly the best ones. Sometime not easy to remember what all was in there… haha

as you said you don’t always remember so must write it down or ask the kids haha

Yes, it must be written down or it gets lost 🙂 and the kids truly remember when you created something they liked for once…lol

You’re welcome anytime 🙂 This looks so good! I make pasta but I never thought about adding olives and more cheese! My son’s lactose intolerant so that’s probably why. Your rice dishes are great too. I burn rice usually. Lol. I have to keep adding water 😉

ha ha it is hard, I spent a long time figuring out the different rices and how to cook them! I mean a long time!

Beautiful presentation and a scrumptious recipe, Lyn. I am allergic to green peppers so I would substitute mushrooms or spicy banana peppers. My ex husband put green peppers into a stew and my arms looked like,a person had whipped me, big red welts 😦

I love macaroni. I don’t know what we call this variety but it looks delicious too. My mom prepares it every now and then.
Thanks for sharing this recipe Lynz.
Happy Weekend.

This looks wonderful – an penne pasta is my favourite in these kind of dishes. I imagine other types of pasta could be used for this recipe, too? The use of pizza sauce sounds intriguing.

I love your recipes and your posts about the boys, but I never get a chance to see them often or am too late to “reply” before many, more of your fans have already done. Just know that I do appreciate you.

Pasta, macaroni and pizza have saved my household’s life countless times. Our quick go to meal when life seems to be running away on its own wheels. Will bookmark this recipe, thanks Lynz 🙂

I love red pasta but Rev T can’t eat tomato based dishes. I am that woman who orders Spag Bol in Italian restaurants as we can’t have it at home and I miss it. Pinned for when I’m just cooking for me when he’s out though as it looks yum!

Hello Lynz, I nominated you for the World Bloggers Award. Not sure if your blog is award free blogging. I checked but didn’t see any indication.
