Pizza and Pasta

One day when I was running and had no time to cook, I decided to toss a few things together and this was the result. The kids love it and it is super easy.

Ingredients

1 package of pasta

1 jar of pizza sauce

1 Green Bell pepper chopped

1 onion chopped

3 tomatoes chopped

sliced black olives

1/2 cup parmesan cheese

1.2 cup mozzarella cheese

1/2 tsp. basil

salt to taste

Directions

Chop vegetables. Saute onions in olive oil, add bell pepper and tomatoes. Add basil and salt, cook until soft

Slice olives

Boil pasta according to package directions, do not over cook!

When pasta is done, drain. Β Put noodles back into pan and add pizza sauce and other ingredients. Pour into a baking pan and cover well, Put into oven and bake 30 minutes.

      • You’re welcome anytime πŸ™‚ This looks so good! I make pasta but I never thought about adding olives and more cheese! My son’s lactose intolerant so that’s probably why. Your rice dishes are great too. I burn rice usually. Lol. I have to keep adding water πŸ˜‰

  7. Beautiful presentation and a scrumptious recipe, Lyn. I am allergic to green peppers so I would substitute mushrooms or spicy banana peppers. My ex husband put green peppers into a stew and my arms looked like,a person had whipped me, big red welts 😦

    I am drooling.
I love macaroni. I don’t know what we call this variety but it looks delicious too. My mom prepares it every now and then.

Thanks for sharing this recipe Lynz.

    Happy Weekend.

  13. This looks wonderful – an penne pasta is my favourite in these kind of dishes. I imagine other types of pasta could be used for this recipe, too? The use of pizza sauce sounds intriguing.

  19. I love red pasta but Rev T can’t eat tomato based dishes. I am that woman who orders Spag Bol in Italian restaurants as we can’t have it at home and I miss it. Pinned for when I’m just cooking for me when he’s out though as it looks yum!
