Peanut butter candy cookies

My daughter and my niece first made these for us and they were love at first site! yumm! I made them for the girls at the co-op and never heard the end of it!


1 cup butter

3/4 cup shortening

1 1/2 cups brown sugar

1 1/2 cups white sugar

3 eggs

1 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. salt

4 1/2 cups flour

1 cup peanut butter

mini snickers bars


Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Mix butter, shortening and sugars until fluffy, add eggs and continue mixing, add peanut butter. Continue mixing and add baking soda, salt and flour.

Put a spoon of dough in your hand or on a spoon and place a mini candy in the middle, shape dough around it well to cover. Place on baking sheet. Bake for 12 minutes or until done.

    Oh my goodness. My grandchildren will go bonkers over these — if there are any left when they visit again. I don’t make promises when it comes to peanut butter and chocolate, it is absolutely first come, first served. Thank the responsible parties for the recipe please, and thank you for posting it.
